The annual meeting was held on Saturday,

Clarke. 'Die club decided to enter an A und tt
C team for the V.B.A. pennants. A social even
ing and presentation o! trophies for 1027-23 will
fie held in the lecture hall, Collingwood town
hall, on Tuesday, 38th September. Tho mem
bers honored the treasurer, Mr. J, Kcrin, and the
secretary, Mr. It. II. Clarke, with life member
ship. The green will be opened for tho season
on Saturday, I5lh September.

Sir Leo Cussen presided at the M.C.C. bow'crs'
annual meeting on Saturday, which was also at
tended by Messrs. G. Simmona, J. Sutherland
and If, Donahoo, of the general committee, and
Mr. H. Trumble,' secretary- Trior to the busi

at dinner of the M.C.C. The principal item
was the club's interest in the forthcoming rea
son, as the construction of the new pavilion had
involved the destruction «< one of the greens,
nnd ho limited temporarily the accommodation
for players. After going thoroughly into the
mutter it was decided to restrict the clob'u
entry this reason to an A and n B team. The
overflow will probably join in with the M.C.O.
Warrignlfl, who have been generously offered ac
commodation by the North Fitzroy club. There
were no contests for committee honors, the ap
pointees being Messrs. Comport, Evan?, Hart-
neil, Mcrroll, Scown und Taylor, while Mr. Oar-
diff whs again welcomed as secretary. "Jimmy"
James was congratulated on again achieving

In the yearty report submitted io the 50th
annual meeting of South Melbourne club, the
committre addressed an appeal to the mem
ber#, asking them to make n apecial effort to
strengthen the club numerically Moderate suc
cess was met by the three teams entered foi
V.B.A. pennants. Club average# were held by

and F. T. Davidson' in' their respective divisions.

Much enthusiasm was shown at the annual
meeting of Yirtorln club on Saturday, which
waa but natural. »s the club had distinguished
itself by achieving a place in the final game-
last season for the A pennant. It will be teen
by the accompanying list that Mr. J. Elite has
resumed his former position as president. The

Aseoctntion was held at. Middle Parle lndiea' pavi
lion, there being an attendance of some thirtv
greenkeoperr. The chair was occupied
