cused Mr. Churchill of
demeaning fc.is high office
by playing about with the
nations transport for
purely partisan political
purposes.
Mr. Morrison was
speaxmg on tne Govern
ment bill to restore the
nationalised road haulage
system- to private enter
prise and decentralise the
railways.
Mr. Morrison said: "We
tell him that with great
respect and some degree
of affection, but he
ought to be thoroughly
ashamed of ihimself." Mr.
Churchill beamed and
thanked Mr'. . Morrison for
his "courteous refer
ences."
Mr. Morrison- said the
Opposition would today
move an amendment re
jecting - the. bill. He 'said
it was a bad, mischievous
and destructive bill, and
Labor would fight it
through all its stages. .

nationalising the road
haulage system had not
solved the nation's trans-'
