Little Bearing
on Four
in Northern
KERANG, Friday.— Apart
from the match between
Gunbower and Kerang,
matches in the last game
of the first round of
the home and home games
in the Northern - District
League tomorrow should
have little bearing on the
four.
Kerang, who downed Co-
huna last week, after this
team had toppled Gun-
bower from top position,
will be fighting for second
place behind Koondrook,
the new leaders.
Whether the powerful
big Gunbower side can
hold out against the
nippy Kerang is a big
question hut, beaten only
once for the season, Gun
bower seems the choica
for the big game.
Koondrook seems to hava
an easy game at the ex
pense of Union, although
this team caused an upset
by overwhelming Leitch-
ville.
Cohuna, who is led by the
ex-Carlton and inter-State
player Ray Garby, should
not he troubled by Border.
Leitchville plays Pyramid
Hill, who has yet to open
its account.
Pyramid Hill is the un
lucky side of the league.
This is its second season in
the league. Ex-South Mel
bourne player Williams was
signed at a large salary, but
has played only one game.
He received a groin injury
in the first match of the
season.
WILLIAMSTOWN Ama
