ot the Victoria Racing Club, after an
inspection 'at tho course yesterday, to
erect a large sight screen, consisting
of a fence hinc feet in height, behind
the barrier of the straight six furlongs
start, so that spcctntors may be enabled
to more easily distinguish the colors
of the Jockeys on horses engaged in
races along thnt course. It is expected
the color of the barricade will be white,
so as to throw into relief the various
iiucs of the silks worn by Lho riders.
The action will be appreciated by race
goers, as great difficulty is experienced
in identifying the horses nt present, par
