Limbless Soldiers.
troETir TRIM TICKETS GRANTED
A largely-attended meeting of mcuibc.i
of tlivi Limbless Soldiers' Association
was held last night in their new

Dissident (Mr. B. Bagenal) an-
nounced that tlie Tramways Board h n-
decided to comply with the reauest of the
.association for free passes by grantin;
500,090 tickets (to cover one journey each!
for use of leg amputees, provided the asso
elation prepared a table showine how ii
was proposed to allot the tickets. Keep
appreciation was expressed of the action o
the Tramways Board, but it was recrettet
that the board had not seer, its way cleai
to extend the privileue to one-armed sol
dicrs, of whom there are about 100 in tin
mr-lrnnolitan area.
Free admittance has been m-antcd to
members ol' the association to the V.A.l'.C.
racecourse, a concession that had pre
viously been extended to tliein by tin.
V.R.C. Tho following football clu'bs have
also decided to admit members to the
members' reserve upon the production of
the association badge: — Carlton, St. Kildu,
lissendon, Ucolotur. Soutii Melbourne, Col-
liugwood and Fltz-roy.
The meeting anticipated an early reply
from the Federal authorities to requests
submitted to them b.v tlie association
twelve months ago regarding pensions and
various other matters.
A Bupply of tlie Nelson combined knife
and fork for the use of one-armed men lias
been received by tlie association from tbe
lied Cross Society, who imported them
from England and presented them to the
association for . distribution. A letter of
thanks was forwarded to tho Red Cross
Society.
The association has procured a number
of copies of a bond book for limbless men,
which contains ranch useful information.
