THE N.3.W. ELECTIONS.

SYDNliY. — The allotting of the pre
ference votes in several of the elector
ates was completed to-day. In West
ern Suburbs, Messrs. M'Tiernan, Liz-
zarini (Labor), and Messrs. Hoskins.
r4ess and J. C. Wilson (Coalition!
were elected. Major Shillingtou, tlnQsJ-
ting member, was displaced by Air. Ness.
In Sydney eight counts have been com
pleted, but so far no candidate lia9 been
elected. S.r Thomas Henley and Mr. D.
M. Anderson, both Coalition, have been
declared elected in Ryde. In Newcastle,
Mr. bkelton (Independent) and Mr. Badde-
ley (Labor) have Been declared elected, and
their surpluses are being distributed. Two
members, Mr.B. untnell (Coalition) and Mr
Lang (Labor) have been declared elected
for the Parramatta electorate, and the
fight for the third scat is between Msws.
Simpson (Coalition) and Ely (Labor). The
Botany count is complete, and Labor 1ms
ret/Mued four scats, the members being
Messrs. F. M. Burke, W. J. Rateiiile, T.
D. Mutch and M'Kell, while Mr. J. II. Let
(Coalition) waa re-elected. Mr. M'Kell was
declared elected without a quota :n this
electorate. Mr. Simon HicKev (Labor),
the sitting member, was defeated. So far
the sole member declared elected for Wain-
rnerewa is Mr. Dunn (Labor). Many of
the near-by electorates are expected lo
complete their counting by Saturday
night.
