DEATHS.
ASHMAN.— On the 5th October, Benjamin the be-
loved father of Mr. James and Mrs. Pagram and
Mrs. Key, of Hawthorn, aged 88 years. A resident
of 53 years in Hawthorn.
CHADWICK.—On the 9th October, at the resi-
dence of her brother, Mr. Leslie Chadwick, Loch-
street, Yarraville West, Kathleen May (Katie), the
dearly beloved second daughter of Jonathan and
Julia Chadwick, of Upper Beaconsfield (late of Foot-
cray), and loving sister of Leslie, Sissie and Maurice
Chadwick, aged 22 years and 7 months.
CLAUSS.— On the 9th October, at 14 Liardet-street,
Port Melbourne, Susana Clauss, beloved mother of
Adam Clauss, only surviving sister of Ellen Poulter,
Byland, and beloved aunt of John and Violet
Poulter. Lnlly-strcct, Richmond; also Joseph and
Alice Poulter, 5 Barwise-street, North Melbourne,
also Jonah, William, George, Charlie and James
Poulter; also James nnd Jane lladflold. Bylands.
DALE.— On the 9th October, at his residence,
"Cloncurry," No. 205 Kerferd-rond, Albert Park,
Lawrence Dale (of the firm of Messrs. llolfo nnil
Co., Bourke-street), aged 79 years. By request, no
flowers.
FISHER.-On the 9th October, at his residence,
9 Gray-street, Yarravllle. Peter the dearly beloved
husband of Ellen Fisher, late of Brunswick, aged 73
years, and a colonist of 50 years.

GREEN.— On the 8th October, at Sydney, Nathaniel
Swift Green, general manager for R. G. Dun and
Co., Australasia.
HAIRE.— On the 8th October, at Bullengarook,
Margaret, the dearly beloved wife of Francis Haire,
and fourth daughter of William and the late Ann
Gorman, of Bullengarook, nncd 31 years. R.I. P.
Deeply regretted.
HUDSON.— On the 8th October, at Balranald,
New South Wales, of acute peritonitis. James Rich-
ardson Hudson, third son of William Hudson, "Aid-
millan," Moonee Ponds.
JOBSON.— On the 9th October, at the Children's
Hospital, Leslie Thomas, the dearly beloved youngest
son of Thomas and Eliza Jobson, aged 2 years and
7 months.
KEMPSON- On the 9th October, at 59 Eckersall-
street. Moreland, Ellen, the beloved wife of Charles
Kempson, eldest daughter of Hannah and the late
Thomas Peeler, sister of Mrs. Hvud, Mrs. Wool-
dridge, Charles, William and May Peeler, aged 38
years.

KERRIGAN.— On the 9th October, at the resi-
dence of his brother-in-law (J. O'Keefe), Yarra Glen,
after a long and painful illness, John, the dearly
beloved and eldest son of Patrick Kerrigan, of
Yering, aged 41 years.

37 Chetwynd-street, North Melbourne, James Edward,
the dearly beloved husband of Elizabeth J. Lane;

George Alfred, second dearly beloved son of Eliza-

beth Amelia, relict of the late James Phelps, in her

daughter of Louis and Mary Sleeman, aged 3 years
and 10 months.
STEMINGER.— On the 4th October, the result of
an accident, Harry, the .dearly loved eldest son of
A. J. and M. Steminger, aged 21 years.
SWINDLEY.— On the 6th October, at her late re
sidence, Macarthur-street, Sale, Mary A., relict of
the late John Swindley, aged 77 years.
WORSDELL.— On the 8th October, at his resi
dence. "Falmouth," Silvermies-rond. 'St. Arnaud.
Joseph, dearly beloved husband of Grace Worsdell,
aged 67 years.
YOULDEN.— On the 8th October, at his late resi-
dence, Hustlers Hill, Bendigo, Francis Pearce
(Frank) Youlden, the beloved husband of Elizabeth
(Bessie) Youlden, and manager of the Great Ex-
tended Hustler's mine, aged 43 years.
