CATHOLIC COUNTRY TOURNAMENT,
GOOD WIN 13 Y NOOK AT.
The first annual country tournnment for
Catholic basketballers, which was commenced
last Saturday, was concluded yesterday,
Noornt winning with an undcfcuted record.
Results: —
Hemi-finals.— Noorat 31 goals d, Corowa 6,
Colac 6 goals d. Echuca 4,
Final.— Noorat 19 gouls d." Colac 12 fn a
good exhibition ot fine, clean passing. Colac's
cfcnce was their strongest feature, and they
did well to keep their opponent's score as
low ns they did.
At the conclusion of the final the Arch
bishop Mannlx perpetual challcngo trophy was
presented to the winners.
OPEN HANDICAP.
The open handicap tournament for country
and metropolitan teams was also brought to
a conclusion. Results:—
