Deaths.
BARNES.— On the 5th March, accidentally killed by
the bursting of a torpedo off Queenscliff, William
Barnes, leading seaman of H.M.C.S. Nelson, aged 33

DESLANDES.-On the 14th of March, at No. 86 Albert-
Street, Windsor, Thergia Martha, relict of the late
Philip Deslandes, of Jersey, Channel Islands, aged 69.

INNES. — On the 24th October last, washed over
board in a storm at sea, George L. lnnes, chief officer
of the Aberdeen clipper ship Thermopylae, and
brother-in-law of the Rev. Dr. Gilchrist, of North
Melbourne.
KENNEDY.— On 12th February, at his grandmother's
residence, No. 4 Waterloo-street, Carlton, John James,
the beloved and only son of Michael Kennedy and the
late Bridget Ellen Kennedy, of Carlton, aged 11
months. He is not dead, but gone to rest on his dear
mother's breast.
LEAHY.— On the 14th March, at her residence, St.
James's House, Bridge-road, Richmond, Catherine
Leahy, dearly beloved wife of William Henry Leahy,
of Collins-street east, hotel agent, aged 36 years.
LUSH.— On the 14th March, at the residence of her
son-in-law (Mr. J. M, Tempteton), 186 Victoria-parade,
East Melbourne, Keren-happuch, widow of the late
John Lush, in her 76th year.
TOBIN.— On the 14th March, at the residence of his

youngest and beloved son of James and Margaret
