LICENSING PROSECUTION.
Liquor at Refreshment Room,
BENATjLA. — A peculiar point was raised
in a prosecut-ion under the Licencing Acta
heard, before Mr. Wade, . P.M., at the
Bcnalla court ou Fnday. John M'Loajy
boiler nmker, reading at Footacray, ivie
charged that not being a bona fide traveller
or lodger, he did, en 20th March, obtain
liquor at (the bar of the railway refreshment
rooms, Bcntalla, during prohibited hour.
The evidence of Sergeant Slater was '.that,
at about 9.30 pan. on ihte- date mentioned
