Junior Football,

Fitzroy Overwhelm Richmond.
Fltsroy met Richmond at CntHon prior iu
tho bij? match. The ground was in perfect
order for football. A cros? wind slightly inter
fcrcd with the piny. As both teams had been
defeated the week previous both sides fielded
their strongest side in tho hope of retrieving
their position. Fitzroj' substituted Hlckey for
Lethbridgc. Richmond were the first to get
going, and by strenuous play sooti had the lull'
in a favorable position, but Kight could only
manage a single. A i>oor kick off by KukecII
meant 'another single to Richmond. Fitr.roy now
took a hand, and soon the Richmond backs were
defending, Chapman receiving from Kemp, place-
kicked a beautiful goal, followed by one, equally
good, from a long shot by lfickcy. At the half
time Interval Fitaroy had a handy lead of
22 points, thanks to the wretched play of the
Richmond forwards. . Tlic third term was con
tinued at a hurricane pace and O'Neill snapped
a goal for Fitzroy. Fhiy had now become very
congested and rough. From the packs Richmond
scored some tingles. Rees and -Collins, for Fitr.»
roy, IVisclmrt and Kight, for Richmond, were
pmymp grancuy. tiic last quarter started with
Fltxroy in front with a big lead. Twice the ball
vus passed to Chapman, but he badly missed each
time. With ten minutes to go Richmond's score
stood at -10 points,, without a single goal. ' At
this, stage un unseemly mix-up occurred, and
those responsible will no . doubt have to answer
to the tribunal at an early date. Time off wuji
now being played, when a roar of applause
went un on Craven kicking Richmond's first
guni. -which was followed by another soon niter
by Danes.: The bell terminated a gumc noted
