Daughter Severely Injured.
Horse Bolts into Bus.
GJ5KBOXG, Thursday.— A HsiuMttionnl
accident in Moornbool-strcet tlii« after
noon resulted in the death oi Airs. Rose
Shctfog, aged. 49 years, and iu head in
juries to her dawiiitcr. Lilu Shcgujr, aged
18 yearn. Mrs. khogog, a popular nnintcuv
musician, was tlic wile of Mr. John
Shegog, an ex-bank manager, now n
fanner and orchnrdist at Hillside, Geres.
Mrs. Shcgog nnd her daughter were
driviug northward down Moorutwol-streci

carriage collapsed and startled tho horse,
which bolted down the hill, despite the

hurled from the buggy against the bus,
and dropped to the road, the mother un
conscious and the daughter bleeding pro
fusely from a scalp wound caused by the
broken glass of the bus window. Con-
stables Bishop and Dowsed, rendered first
aid to the injured women, and then hailed
a passing motorist, who conveyed them to
tlie hospital.
Mrs. Siiegng, who probably had sus
tained a depressed fracture of the skulk
diet! booh after her arrival at the hos
pital. "Miss .Hhegog, who was also greatly
shneked. was admitted to the casualty
ward after the wound to her head had
been stitched.
