Address by Mr. Turley.
The War on the uatcrirout was tho
subject of an address at tlie Gaiety Theatre
last evening by Mr, A. K. Turley, a mem
ber' of' the management committee of tlio
Waterside Workers' Federation, who lias
represented the organisation in the Fede
ral Arbitration Court. He said the Arbi
tration Act had been so amended since it
wns passed in 100-4 that it was a different
staLute, and was not acceptable to bona
fide trades unions. It .was an entirely
different uct to that under winch the or
ganisation was registered twenty years
ago, and should be amended on lines
proposed by the trades unions.
