WARRNAMBOOL.
The rainfall during the. latter part of
last week, amounting to 60 points, has
brought this month's total -to 150 points

The . annual report of -; Warrnambool
Christian Brothers' College states that the
past- year has been, a record since: the
college : was established . 24 . years <ngo in
the number of students on the roll. The
dux prize was. won. by jR.. Armstrong. .
"Warrnambool Week" will -be held from
20th January to 5th FebruaiT.. A >ro-
gramme of attractions has been arranged
for tourists and visitors. .
Mr. A. '-V. Sainsbitry, B.A., son of Ser
geant 'Samsbury, of - Warrnambool, - has
completed a twelve months' diploma of
education course at the Melbourne Univer
sity. Passing all subjects with honors, he
has been appointed first assistant at the
Euroa higher elementary school. -

Mr, W. R. DoUglas, of - "Quamhy,"
Woolsthorps. lost a fine new weatherboard
residence by fire on Saturday night. The
house: had only recently been completed
and furnished at a cost -of several thou
sand pounds. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas had
left the house for Warrnambool, and half
an -hour later the. fire, was discovered, but
too late to save any of the property.
