PRICE OF CREAM.
Butter Factories' Complaints.
A large number of representatives of the
Co-operative Butter and Cheese Factories'
Association of Victoria waited on the
Minister of Agriculture yesterday after
noon.
A complaint was voiced tbat the Cream
Grading Bill, gazetted some months ago,
had not been enforced. Somo factories
paid differential rates for cream, aud were
losing money thereby because of competi
tive factories ignoring the regulations.
The board appointed to cany out the pro
visions of tho act complained that its work
was not worth while, and had held no
meeting for six months.
The Minister, after listening to the depu
tation, said he was glad, to have heard the
arguments, because they would strengthen
his liand in bringing all butter factories
into line. Tiie department was about to
appoint six inspectors to administer the
act.
