PATIENT SWALLOWS RADIUM
TUBE BROKE IN MOUTH AND
£350 SLIPPED DOWN.
PARIS, 21st May.
A patient who was being treated with
radium in a hospital full asleep with a
tube of radium in his mouth. The tube
broke, and a speck of radium valued at
£350 slipped down liis throat. Using a
radioscope, th'e doctors followed the course
of the radium down the gullet into the
stomach. The patient suffered no ill-
effects.
