CLYDE ITEMS
A splendid Tain has fallen in the
district. Cropping will now be in full
swing, and, given a spell of fine
weather, there should be some good
autumn feed.-.
The- Clyde football team journeyed,
to Narnargoon on Saturday, ■.. where,
after leading at the end of the third
quarter, they were beaten by 15
joints at the finish of the game, owing
to the seasoned players of the team
being run to a standstill; though
worked hard to avert de
feat. The team meet Cardinia on the
Clyde ground next Saturday.
. ' Most of the roads in the district are
hr a deplorable state, being nearly
impassable in places, fter the rain.
Several old residents predict that the
: milk bus traffic will not be able to
continue throughout the winter.
Mr. F. Rooke is still in the Caul
field Hospital. Mr. Syd. White
■underwent an operation, but will not
be able to leave the hospital for some
time.

The Saturday night dance was well
patronised as usual, and every one
had a good time.
