ENTERTAINMENTS.
ACADEMY OF MUSIC.
“Les Cloches de Corneville" was repeated
last evening at the Academy of Music, to a
very fairly filled house, the dress circle
especially receiving better patronage. The
Lilliputian Opera Company ia really most
deserving of large houses, and the acting of
Iho young people ia vastly superior to that of
individuals of larger growth, aud with
considerably more pretensions. Tho Bailie
ia aa amusingly self-conceited aa ever, while his
clerk and “shadow,” Qobo, forms a capital ap
pendage tc hia master. Gaapard, the miser,
appears to improve on acquaintance, and the
same remarks may bo aaid to apply to the
performers aa a body. The opera will bear
attending, not only onoe, bat many times, and
therefore those desirous of seeing “Lea
Cloches do Corneville” must attend the
Academy this evening to witness its final
' performance, as it will be replaced to morrow
evening by a new and intensely amusing ver
sion of “Pinafore.” "Lea Cloches de Corne
ville” ia repeated to-night by special request,
and the following alterations in tho caste will
bo made; —The Bailio exchanges parts with
Gaspard, and Jlies Flo De Lorme will appear as
Jean Grenioheux.
