THE COMING STRUGGLE.
TO THE EDITOR OF TUB ACE.
Sir, — As Mr. Berry is to unfold his future
policy to-night at Geelong. I trust ho will do it
in a decisivo manner. The timo has passed for
moderate measures. Let this 'young nation look
upon the Uth of Afay Jost in the same spirit as
tlio Americans do on tho glorious 4th of July. > I
«iiu dcliglucd to sea tbo peoplo of tbis country
being educated up to tlie right political standard.
This is the tide for every truo Liberal to bo
outbo alert, and speak bis mind frauklyand
fearlessly. With regard to myself personally, as
an old Liberal, I havo and still intend to support
the present Government, regardless of all ulterior
consequences. Referring again to the Americans, i
when their declaration of independence w&sc
framed, they, the framers, pledged not only their.-
fortunes but their lives.— Yours, &c., S. T. W,
"Yarravilie, 21st January. '
