• ATHENS, April 2.
RECTIFICATION OF GREEK FRON-
TIER.
The Greek Government have now replied
to the final offer of Turkey for the
rectification of the frontier. Despite the
good offices of Foreign Ministers, the
Govjernment have declined to accept the
basiB laid down unless some farther concessions
are made by the Pprte. Whilst
waiving the demand for a large cession of
territory in Epirus, the Government
insist upon the transfer by Turkey
of the town and district of
Prevesa, a fortified place at the
northern entrance of the Gulf of Arta,
South of Corfu. The reply of the Porte
is now anxiously awaited. It is understood
that the Greek Government are
willing to accept the latest Turkish proposal.
