SIGHTED between the Lakes. Eutmncc. Gippslund, und
Port Albert, about 28 miles from the Lakes Entrance
and about 54 miles from land.
Persons navigating in the locality are warned to keep a
look out for floating wreckage.

Notice Is hereby given that a LIGHTHOUSE now fu
course of erection on the southern extremity of Eagle
Nest Point will be completed about the mouth of Sep
tember, 1891.
Tlie lighthouse tower will be 83 fL high, is being built
of stone, aud a first order Dioptric fixed red light 220 fu
ubovo the level of tlio sea will bo exhibited blicreirom,
. and should be sceu iu clear weather ut a distance of IB
nautical miles. . . .
Tho red light will illuminate an arc of about 153
degree? seaward, with un aro of whito light illuminating
nbout 1 mile off Point Addis to tho eastward und Capo
Futon to tho westward of tho lighthouse.
- An auxiliary whito light to cover u distance of 3 miles
from the lighthouse tower, will illumlnnto an urc of 180
degrees to scuwurd. Such auxiliary Ught will be invisible
to un observer until wlthiu about three miles' distauco
from tho lighthouse.
Position, approximate. Latitude, 38 dcg. 28 min. 10
seconds south. Longitude. 144 dcg. 5 inin. 45 seconds

The white lights are to want mariners of their too close
proximity to the shore or to tho lighthouse. -
CAPE OTWAY.
Notice is hereby given that it is proposed about tho
month of August, 1891, to exhibit from Capo Otway a
first order dioptric light showing whito flushes in grotqis
of three every minute, and to discontinue the exhibition
of tbo present cntoptrio light.
In ordor to '.carry out necessary alterations to tho
origiijullighthouaii tower the existing catoptric light Is
being exhibited from a temporary- wooden - structure
: erected about 20 feet to tho southward of such stono

The red duncer light will remain unaltered. " '
