OVERCROWDED ST. KILDA
ELECTRIC TRAMS. '
TO THE EDITOR OF THE AGE.
tor, I must emphatically, protest against
the treatment we, tlie residents of St.
Kilda South, are receiving through .the in
adequate accommodation supplied on1" the
electric trams. I leave the city by either
the 5.45 or 5.53 train 'every evening, and
there, is not one night but I have to stand
itp, and many are unable to find accommo
dation in the cars. This also applies to
almost any evening one1 travels to the city
by the trains leaving at 7.30 or 7.40. There '
is no country in the world where the trams
are run for the -.convenience of the public
that are conducted the wny the electric
tram from St. ICilda to Brighton is. Can
nothing be done ? — Ynura. A-e
