It would be strange
indeed if no one up to now should have noticed,-
that notwithstanding the daily cleansing of the
teeth with, tooth-powders and tooth-pastes, the
teeth (and especially the back teeth) frequently
become decayed and hollow. Is not. that a
convincing proof that tooth-powders and tooth
pastes are completely i nadequate for the purpose ?
Our teeth are not so-obliging as to decay only
in places where we can conveniently reach' them
with the tooth-brush. On the contrary, it is just
in those localities which are difficult of access,
such as the backs of the molar teeth, the inter
stices between the teeth, hollows and cracks, that
the decay and destruction of the teeth appear
most frequently, and are most likely to occur. In
consequence, if any one wishes to preserve his
teeth intact — that is to say, to keep them healthy
—this can be effected in one way only ; by daily
cleansing and rinsing the mouth and teeth with
the antiseptic dentifrice Odol. Odol destroys the
microbes and arrests all bacterial and fermen
tation processes which attack the teeth.
The absolutely certain effect which Odol pro
duces has been scientifically proved, and this is
principally due to a peculiar property which
causes it to be absorbed by the mucous mem
brane of the gums, so that they become impreg
nated with it. The immense importance of this
entirely new and unique property should be fully
grasped; for while all other preparations for the
cleansing and protection of the teeth are effective
only during the moment of. application, Odol
leaves an antiseptic deposit on the surface of the
mucous membrane and in the interstices of the
teeth which continues to be effective for hours.
In this manner a lasting antiseptic effect is
produced, by means of which the whole oral
cavity, and the minutest recesses which it con
tains, are completely freed from, and protected
against, all fermenting processes and injurious
bacteria. /
It should be borne in mind by purchasers that
the full-size flask at 2/6 is more advantageous to
them than the half-size flask at 1/6, as it will last
TSWICE as long. \
