GOLF.
VICTOUIA CLUB.
The fift round of the club championship will
be plarod on Saturday, in conjunction with the
monthly medal. Competitors mutt start between
11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Only members with handicaps
of 10 ami under ere eligible to compete iu the
championship.
BCMUOA.— On Wednesday afternoon a men's
singles Was played on the local golf links. De
lightful weather prevailed, and there waa a., large
attendance. Tho bnst scores were as follow:-—
A. J. Moore, 43 (4)— 39; F. N. H. Atkyns, 50 (5)
—45; M. Keily, 51 <«)— 45; D. Aitkcn, 46 (scr.)-

Mr. D. Aitkcn, who is retiring from the secretary-
shin of the Kchnca club, owing to his removal
from the district, was on Wednesday at Hie local
jjnks presented with a - smoker t» outfit, tobacco
pouch, set of L. and. Co., pipes and; a golf big,
in recognition of his past service to the club.
TATURA.— A golf club has been formed at
Tatura, with Mr. V. J. Bolger president and Mr.
F. Jenkins secretary.
