A MAN WITH A GRIEVANCE.

City Police Court yesterday moraine,
ss evidently a man with a grievance.
Addressing Mr. W. O. Wise, PM„ he •
said: "A man is crucified >by a prohibition
older. You bring me here every
time I get a glass of fbeer,' and tho
order causes nit more trouble than I
have ever experienced Ibefore. It is
my living to go into hotels to buy
bottles, and when 1 am In there tliey
expect me to ibuy threepenny worth of
beer." Mr. Wise, P.M., glanced down
Harris's record, and noticing the long
list of previous convictions, expressed
the opinion that it was albout time
(something had 'been done to Ikeep the
defendant from the drink, "t bare
been trying to keep straight lately,"
replied the defendant. "Well, the
prohiPjition order will help you to
keep straight," retorted the P.-lf.
