MINING REPORTS.
To ensure publication, managers are requested
to make their reports as concise as possible, and
include in them only matters which are absolutely
of interest to shareholders. To avoid errors, man
agers are requested to write their reports legibly
and also to leave spaces between reports from dib
.rent companies when forwarding several on a

assays 60 p.c. lead, 31.7oz. silver p.t. and 8.6 p.c.

Broken Hill Pro. Block 14. — Port Adelaide smelt
ing return, week 11th.— Ore treated: Carbonate, 170
tons; sulphides, 1005 tons, producing 513 tons bul
lion, containing 27,223oz. silver.
Browning's Luck, St. Aruaud, 12th.— 500ft. level:
Drive N. in total 150ft.; reef in face 3ft., solid
nature, showing little gold, more water making.
Breaking down reef at 300ft. level; reef in face
eft., good looking stone, carrying plenty of galena
and pyrites. Putting in shaking tables for battery,
and expect same completed next week.
Buffalo Hydraulic, Brookside, 12th. — Sluiced at
Salisbury claim on payable wash, some good pros
pects. Will start 3 shifts at new claims on Monday
morning; cutting up ground ditch, have to shoot
it.
Bulumwaal Qtz., Bulumwaal, 12th.— Tunnel
driven 60ft.; nice leaders cut, showing free gold.
Buninyong Alluvial, Buninyong, 12th.— Shaft
sun!; total 153ft. Put bore down at bottom of
shaft 7ft., touched soft country- Believe to be
bottom of rock; water heavy.

gold. Intend next week to put in a small drive
to prove continuation of shoot of gold.

also in N. lease, to crush when tramway laid. Not
so much stuff crushed, owing to stoppages for

plat finished will put in plat sets and 800ft. of
skids in shaft, also 290ft. 3-in. air pipes; will aluo
put in ladders and remove cistern and pent house
Since writing cut on E. side of eastern plat what

week.
Exchange, E. Ballarat, 11th.— 200ft. level: East
ern xcut in total 460ft., through large bunches
stone 2ft. in thickness; face showing lot mineral
in country. Completed No. 2 rise, cutting plai
in wash; wash showing gold in good payable
quantities; will have three faces at work next

mav have to go 20 further for deep ground. Put
ud 2 bores near face of drive; went through into
murcy clay at 17ft. Water coming from face.
Gt. Buninyong, 12th.— ' Wash dirt drive going
N. in total 105ft., showing gold as drive advances.
Under level in 122ft.. SOft. S.W. wash dirt drive;
total, 176ft. Gold showing when breaking down.
Erection of puddling machinery satisfactorily pro
gressing.
Gt. Central Victoria, Bendigo, 12th.— Rise at 2515
nut up total 4ft. ; stone cut out, and resumed
driving xcut; driven total 185ft. Ground, sand
stone and slate. Rise 2400 connected with winzo
2300. which gives us good ventilation. Driving N.
and S. on a spur that pa-ssed through in winze.
Driven S. 10ft. Will crush from here. Opened out
and rose 5ft. on spurs in centre at 2400; saw a
color of gold. Repairing main shaft.
Gt. Eldorado. Gaffncy's Ck., 10th.— Timbering
chamber. Prospects of tributers improving, No.
2 tunnel in total front No. 8 winzo 35ft.; small
leader in face, carrying little gold. Intermediate
level: Hunk under level Gft. ; driven S. 5ft. Reef
small going down, payable. No. 5 reef in total
26ft. Reef solid And compact, ISin. big; shoot of
stone widened to 25ft. in length, of good payable
stone: widening out and improving in quality
going up. 102 tons stone at battery. Start bat
tery to-morrow one shift.
Gt. Loch Fyne. Dili.— Tunnel extd. lift,, through
sandstone and el van tors; heavy flow of water
from face; total, 575ft.
Gt. N. Long Tunnel, Walhalla, 11th. — Main shaft
sunk total 112ft.; water increasing in shaft. Drain
ing underlie shaft, proving proximity to reef.
Sinking easier.
Gt. Northern Extd., Ruthcrglen, 12th. — Most ot
drives through block, and blocking started. Wash
in manv places thin, and gold not too plentiful,
but think there will be improved washing now
