gold is seen occasionally in the stopes at the 450
feet level south. The various stopes working
between the 550 and 450 feet levels show very
fair stone at times. Tho Nortli Duke will com-
monceto rise to the wash in the west intermediates
drive off No. 2 balance shaft on Tuosday next.
Payable wash is being opened up south of tho
No. 1 rise. The market was quiet to-day, both
tho Chalk's aud Diike stocks being firm at quota
tions. Bliioher's Kocf were inquired for. Tho
