Brisbane Markets.
MESSRS. B. D. M0REIIEAD AND CO.'s WEEKLY
REPORT.
Fat Cattle.-291 yarded, which consisted of good
to prime. Prices were about the same as last week.
We quote best bullocks from ¿CG 12a Gd to £G 15s,
good from JE5 15s to £6.
Fat Sheep.-About 1G10 penned ; and, owing to
the short supply, prices were a little better than
last week. Wo quote best merino wethers from
IOE 6d to 11s 9d ; good, 8s Gd to 9s ; medium, 5s 9d
to 7s 3d ; crossbreds, none fonvard. We sold 2G0
merino wethers, on account of Messrs. Huet and
Weinholt, Tarampa, at from 103 Gd to 8s Gd ; 3G0
merino wethers, on account F. West, Esq., St.
Helens, and 120 wethers from Camboonga, both lots
at full market rates.
Fat Lambs.-Very few forward. Best in to
8s 9d.
Private Sales.-We have sold, on account of
Messrs. R. Briggs and Co., from their Oakfield
Estate, 170 bullocks, F. H. Davenport, Esq., pur-
chaser j and, on account of R. Robertson, Esq.,
Holmwood, the whole of his Devon herd, F. H.
Neroham, Esq., purchaser.
Produce.-Hides : No improvement. Prime
heavies to 4d ; medium and good, 3d to 3gd.-Tal-
low : Best in to 17s 9d ; good, 16s Gd.-Sheepskins :
Best butchers' to 3s ; good, 2s 8d ; inferior, 3d to
4Jd.
