solution'passed by the Federal executive
of the Keturned Soldiers' Jjeanue =on
August 31 last:—"That the Kepatriation
department bejiirged to .immediately
revise the appointment of pensioas
doctors, and- that all of the existing
peusioiui doctors who- are . not returned
soldiers be replaced at once by retuijied
-medical .officers," the editor of tlie
"Tassle Digger" stated yesteidaj that
the following reply iad been received
from the Repatriation" departnieat—
"Approval has'been elven tor (he appointment
of travelling boards to hold
reviews in metropolitan and provindai
centres, and reviews in -. other districts.
With regard to reviews in
metropolitan and provincial districts;
returned men are being appointed
toall these positions, and with
regard to doctors for reviews in other
districts, tlie policy of the ^department
iu respect to returned soldiers is being
given effect to, but it may be • necessary
for the department' to "avail itselt
of the services, of a non-retnrned medical
officer where a returned man is not
