GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.
FRIDAY, MAY 10.
Government House 9th May, 1861- His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government will hold a levee at Govern
ment House, on Friday, the 24th instant, at two p.m., in honor
of her Majesty's birthday. By command, Henry D. Pitt,
Lieut. R.A., Acting Aid-de-Camp.
His Excellency the Administrator of the Government has
been pleased to appoint Lord John Taylour. Captain in her
Majesty's 85th Regiment, to be his Excellency's Aid-de-Camp ;
Byron Thomas Kemble, Esq, to be coroner for the district of
Tenterfield ; Colin Ross, Esq., to be coroner for the district of
Inverell ; and Daniel Byrne, Esq, to be a Commissioner of
Crown lands for the purpose of reporting upon and assessing
the grazing capabilities of runs of Crown lands in the district of
Gwydir.

MUDGEE ROAD.—Department of Public Works, Sydney, 9th
May, 1861.—Tenders will be received at this office, until noon,
of Tuesday, the 11th day of June, 1861, from persons willing to
contract for the execution of the new line over Cherry Tree
Hill, on the Mudgee road. Plan, specification, and form of
tender may be seen at the offices of the Commissioner for Roads,
Sydney, and of Mr. Nardin, Road Superintendent, Bowenfels ;
and specification and form of tender may be seen at the police
