Mr. K. G. Luke (left), vice-president
of Carlton, and Mr Newton Chandler,
secretary, can afford to £mile as fine
results have come from the time spent
in covering, more than 2500 miles in
quest of talent for the Blues in 1935.
The enthusiasm shown by these two
first-year officials has been expended in
the right direction, and already 10 players
of promise have been signed up.
Mr Luke is to entertain players and
committee at dinner tonight at 6.30 p.m.
at the Australia.
Correction
The scores in the Victorian Junior
League v. Culcairn Juniors match were
VJJu 14-13, Culcairn 9-12, and not as
reported In The Globe ot September 12.
Interested Spectator
Harold Daws, the former St. Kilda
Second IS and Camberwell footballer,
is at the Victorian Hospital. Royal
Park. Today he was able to be an interested
spectator at the Carlton v. St
Kilda match.
Chance For Country
The Dunlop-Perdriau Football Club
are contemplating a trip in two or three
weeks' time, and would like to arrange
a match with a team about 60 or 70
miles from Melbourne. They would
take a party ot about 40, and as they
have been three times premiers and four
times runners-up in the last seven years
there is an opportunity for some livewire
country club to make an attraction
for local charity.

will be pleased to hear from anyone interested.

social on Wednesday evening, the following
