Victorian Umpires •
' Praised
^LL West Australians who
watched the Sydney Carnival
are lavish in their praise of
umpires McMur ray and Scptt
Messrs. Snow, Stooke and Dolan
were unanimous in stating that
their methods introduced into the
West would improve the game.
They mention particularly their
way of allowing the game to
flow on, and the few occasions on
which the ball was bounced,
apart from the central bounce.
They commented, too, on the absolute
impartiality of the officials
in question.
It would be a good thing if Mc-
Murray or Scott came West when
next Victoria sends a team. The
western umpires are capable
enough in their own way, but
would learn a' lot from the Victorians.
