MR. R. T. RUSH TO MISS E. MAGUIRE.
The marriage of Mr. R. T. Rush, eldest son of
Mr and Mrs. R. RiiEh, Richmond, and Miss Eileen
Maguire, daughter of the late Michael Maguire.
Kew, and Mrs. Maguire, Malvern, took placei at St
Jospeh's R.C. Church, Malvern, on Tuesday, 28th
November. The ceremony was performed by the
Very Rev. S. Hegarty, C.M. The bride entered the
church with Mr. W. Harrison, of Geelong, and
wore a dress of white satin charmeuse. veiled in
ninon. Her bridal veil was richly embroidered, and
her wreath was of orange blossom, lily of the
valley, and heather. A shower posy of gardenias,
bouvardias, and asparagus fern (gift of the bride-,
groom > was carried. On her arm she had a horseshoe
(gift of Mrs. Crowther) of white satin, arranged
with sweet peas, and hung by a white ribbon
The bridesmaids were the Misses Killen and
Crowther. They wore white spot muslin, with overdresses
of guipure ; large white tagel straw hats,
trimmed with pink roses and delphiniums ; and
carried bouquets of Cecil Brunner roses and delphiniums.
The groomsmen were Mr. J. liyan,
Malvern, and Mr. J. Rush (brother of bridegroom).
Mrs Maguire (mother of bride) wore a lovely dress
of grey poplin ; tagel hat, with black Lancer plume.
Mrs. R. Rush (mother of bridegroom) wore a grey
striped resilda, with Oriental trimming, and smart
hat with roses. Miss Miller played the Bridal
and Wedding Marches as the bridal party entered
and left the church.
Only relatives and immediate friends were present
at the wedding. They afterwards partook of tea
at "Glen Bour," the residence of the "rides
mother. A dance was given in the evening (Alii;
etti's band supplying the music) at the TivoU
Hall Glenferrie-road, Malvern, to which about iuu
guests were invited. A short programme of dances
was much enjoyed; interspersed with songs rendered
by Miss Hayes and Mr. Peppard, and recitations
by Miss G. O'Meara and Mr. Pickin. Mr. J.
Ryan gave several records on the graphophone.
The honeymoon is being spent in Sydney. The
bride travelled in a grey coat and skirt, handsomely
braided, and trimmed with Bilk ; grey hat.
