MR. J. C. W. P. GOLDSMITH TO MISS P. M.
WEEKS.
The marriage of Mr. James Cook Walter Parkinson
Goldsmith, eldest son of the late Walter Goldsmith,
of Albert Park, and Miss Pearl Muriel Weeks,
youngest daughter of the late Edward Weeks, of
Albert Park, was celebrated at St. Luke's Church
of England. South Melbourne, by Rev. D. R.
Hewton on 7th June at 6 p.m. The church was
prettily decorated, and the "Wedding March" played
by Mr. E. J. Moore. The bride was given away
by her brother (Mr. W. H. Weeks). Her gown was
of ivory duchesse satin, with tunic overdress of
silk crepe de chine, handsomely trimmed with pearl
and gold bugle trimming. Gold shoes and stockings
were worn. and a long veil and orange blossom
vvreath. The bridesmaid was Miss Hanna Strachan
(Geelong). who wore hail spot ninon, daintily
trimmed with white satin rosebuds, and a gold
Juliet cap ; gold shoes and stockings. Little
Thelma Ramsay (niece of bride) and Master Jack
Harrison were train-bearers. They wore white satin
frock and suit : pale blue page hats, trimmed gold
cord and tassels : pale blue stockings and gold
shoes. The bridegroom's presents were—to bride,
diamond dress ring : to bridesmaid, pearl and emerald
frog brooch : and to train-bearers, gold bamboo
bangle and watch ; also the bride's flowers of
white azaleas, and the bridesmaid's sheaf bouquet
of gold flowers and foliage, and the violets carried
by the train-bearers. .
Mr. Fred Woodard (nephew of the bridegroom)
was best man. The bride's mother wore black satin
gown, trimmed with silk applique and fringe ; black
satin hat, with black and white plumes. Mrs.
Walter Weeks wore Saxe blue crystalline ninon. silk
applique trimmings : large black satin hat (picture),
with Saxe blue plumes. Mrs. W. Ramsay
(sister of bride) wore black resllda, trimmings of
rich applique. Mrs. G. H. Harrison wore mole
cloth gown : mole hat. cerise trimmings. There
were many other beautiful gowns. A large wedding
reception was held at Sargent's, Elizabeth-street,
Melbourne. The bride and bridegroom left by motor
car for liallarat, where the honeymoon is to be
spent. . The travelling dress was a navy coat and
skirt : large electric blue velvet picture hat, with
large white plumes. On their return thev will reside
at "Boughton," Lyndhurst-crescent, Auburn.

The presents included—From bride to bridegroom,
travelling bag. Bridegroom to bride, diamond dress

table linen, and antique lamp. Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Weeks, sil\er jewel casket, and salad bowl. Mr. and
Mrs. V. Weeks, set of fruit dishes. Mr. and Mrs.
W. Ramsay, dinner service. Mr. and Mrs. B. F.
Harrison, oak pedestal table ; and many others.
