M
EMBERS of the Catholic
War Veterans' Association,,
which has as its object the
commemoration of deceased comrades
by offering Mass and Holy
Communion for the eternal repose
of their souls, have organized
special Masses throughout Melbourne
and the provincial cities
next Monday, AnAc Day.
Where therfe is no group in a
particular district, Masses will be
offered in parish churches, and
service men and women are asked
to attend.
The association has'
also
arranged
Communion
breakfasts in most parish halls,
and a march to local memorials
for laying of wreaths.
The Archdiocese of Melbourne
has
been divided
into
various
groups.
Each group embraces
one or more parishes and the following
rallies
have
been
arranged.
No. 1 Group: Embracing the
parishes of St. John's, East Melbourne;
St. Ignatius', Richmond;
and St. James', North Richmond,
will attend Mass at St. John's,
Victoria-street,
East
Melbourne
at 8 a.m.
A Communion breakfast
will follow in St. John's Hall.

Groups at Bendigo, Ballarat,
Geelong, Red Cliffs (Mildura),
Colac, and other State centres
will also hold rallies and have
Communion breakfasts.
The above list is in no way
complete and service men and
women are asked to enquire at
the churches to find out.whether,
an organized gathering has been
arranged.
The object of the Catholic
War Veterans' Association is
purely spiritual. Politics are excluded
from it and it does not
in any way conflict with or encroach
upon the policy and objects
of the R.S.S.A.I.L.A., or
other ex-service men or women's
associations.
The association holds the view
that its members should be loyal
and constructive members of the
respective associations which promote
the well-being of those who
have served in tJ«?yNa\y, Army
or Air Force. ^
Membership is ,,ppen to all
Catholic ex-service men and
women of all nationalities and all
Catliplic men Mid women still
serving with the forces.
„ The carrying out of the object
of the association is the only title
