CLEVER JUMPING
Sylvie Wins Over Hurdles
MANY THRILLS
0LEVJER jumping in the ring events
at the Show on Thursday provided
excellent entertainment. A remark
able performance was given by Mr.
Tom Best's Sylvie (Ken Best), which
won the Lion Timber Mills event for
a pony over jumps.
The judge (Mr. Gidney) said be liked the
way Sylvie took off, landed, and moved away
after jumping. The second prize was won
by Mrs. McCarthy's Heroic (R. Memmler)
and S. Mangledorf's Peggy (C. Webster) was
third.
Giving a dashing display, Mr. W. A. Mc
Ananeys Pinnaroo (Mr. R. L. Payne) won
the„ Sir Sidney Kidman Challenge Cup for 14
Stone hunters. After Six' (J. Brett) was
second, and Tornado (K. Webster) third.
Mr. Fred Fischer's Sbrewdhead, which has
won many prizes in South Australia, was
adjudged the best woman's hack it* the
Licensed Victuallers' Class. Mrs. P. H.
Suter's Bayard was second, and Mr. R. M.
Cudmore'a Sky third. The jndge said the
hacks were an attractive lot.
Mr. Payne on Pinnaroo gave a good exhibi
tion of riding.

UNDER ELECTRIC LIGHT
The first event under electric light last night
was for ponies not eusedifig.'14.1 hands. Mist
dean Bailey scored on her father's gelding Pompey,
and Miaa. A. E. Martin on her own pony White
Sox was second. .
Mr. G. H. Hart's lame Star (Miss .Grace Johns)
won the hones .over bardies event for women
riders. Moonlite, a member of Mr. H. Bollock's
team, with Miss Sylvia Jeffries in the saddle, was
third, and Miss Daries's grey mare. Gay Bird was
second.
Miai J. Davidson/en' SetUmM. won the event
tor the beat women's hack. Miss Hilda Bosch
obtained second prise .on Black Opal, owned by
Mr. T. F. Williama.
FINE HUNTERS
There were a good Bomber' of horses entered
for the Seppelta hunter contest for horses to
carry 12 st. over lenees. " Mrs. H. C. Campbell
handled old Shrtwflhead very well over the tim
ber; and won the event smntt H.. (G. Wood
cock), after Ms'IaU earlier in tbe dsy, went more
enthlly and gave a fowl Akowisg. He wa*
