Bagot, Shakes, & Lewis, Limited, report hold
ing their usual monthly market as above. The
attendance was not large, owing to the trade be
ing ovcrsupplicd and farmers being busy with
the hay harvest, but those attending were on
business bent, and good business resulted. Cattle.
—120 yarded, 31 sold. Steers, to £7 10/; cows,
£5 5/ to £7 10/; young fat cattle, £3 to £3
15/. Sheep.—9,977 yarded, -4,750 sold, the bulk
unsold being dealers' sheep, comprising aged
ewes and young wethers. lVe quote chief sales:—
70 fat 4-tootli wethers, 14/; 50 fat wethers, 13/;
40 fat ewes, 11/d; 70 fat lambs, 10/, 11/, to 12/6;
1,200 2-lootb wethers, 31 years old. from Kincliega
Station, 12/; 501 aged ewes (fat), account Boo
yoolie Estate, about 9/ average; SS3 f.m. ewes,
account Mr. David Thomson, 14/8; 1,024 ll-year
ewes, from Mount Semarkable (small), at 11/6;
622 aged ewes, from same place, 9/3; 602 lj-vear
old wethers, from same place, 11/6; 537 aged
ewes, from Tliackaringa Station, 31/: 850 aged
ewes. Vudaapinnie bred, 8/ to 9/7; 145 old eive.9,
7/5; 269 2 and 4 tooth wethers, 12/7; odd linrs
at about above quotations. Horses.—20 yarded, 13
sold. Old draughts, £4, £7, £8, £10; aged
draughts, £19, £19 10/, £21, £22, to £23 10/
to £34. Few pigs sold at fair values.
