The Northern Star Tent held their annual fes
tival on Good Friday in the Oddfellows' Hall,
'Port Adelaide. A public tea was provided,
which was exceedingly well attended, and was
followed by an entertainment, which was
patronised by a crowded audience. The pro
gramme comprised songs, duets, recitations, &c.,
and was well carried through by Hiss Newman,
Messrs. E. J. Locke, G. Newman, J. Blackwood,
W. T. Day, and J. W. Chanson. The latter
played the accompaniments. Mr. J. T. Headdey
also exhibited some exceedingly good dissolving
views during the interval. Brother G. Bickle,
P.D.C.B, of North Adelaide, presided. The
Southern Star Band was in attendance, and
rendered some choice airs during the evening.
