OLD Dr. JACOB TOWNS END'S GE
nuine ORIGINAL AMERICAN SARSAPARTLLA
Thls compound oarsaparillaofold Dr. Towxsend has no.
thing in common -with preparations bearing the name in this
colony. Prepared by one of the ablest American Chemists, hav.
lng gained the approbation of a great and respectable body ot
American Physicians and Druggists, universally approved an
adopted by the American people, and forming a compound cf
all the rarest medicinal roots, seeds, plants, and flowers that i
grow on American soil, it may truly be called the Great
grid Good American Remedy. Living, as it were, amid sick
ness arid disease in all its forms, and studying its multitudi
ous phases and manifestations in Hospitals, Asylum, sand at the
bedside of the sick for more than forty years, Dr. Townsend
was qualified, above all other men, to prepare a medicine
which should perform a greater amount of good than an» I
other man now living. -
Any person can boil or stew the root till they get a dark
coloured liquid, which is more from the colouring matter! n
the root than from anything else ; they can then strain this
Insipid or vapid liquid, and then call it " Sausaparilla Ex- 1
tract or Strop." But such is not the article known as the
GENUINE OLD DR. JACOB TOWNSEND'8 AMERICAN ;
SARSAPARILLA.
This compound when received into the stomachis digested
like the food, and enters Into the circulation precisely as the
nutriment part of our aliment does.
+TS FtSST REMEDIAL ACTION IS UPON THE BLOOD,
and through that npon every part where it Is needed.
It is by cleansing, enriching, and purifying the Blood thai
Old Dr. Townsend's Sarsapariila effects so many and wonder
ful cures. Physiological science has demonstrated the truth ol
what is asserted in holy writ, that " The Blood is the Life.*
Upon this fluid all the tissues of the body depend for their
maintenance and repletion. It replenishes the wastes of the
system, wonderfully aids weak or debilitated organs, invigo
rates the nervous system, tones up and stengthens the diges
tive apparatus, and imparts new life and energy to all the
functions of the body. Hence its sucoess in curing all com
plaints of .he live, and in removing a great variety of ailments.
It is especially calculated to cure scrofula, erysipelas, mer
curial diseases, scorbutic eruptions, general stagnation of the
fluids, and a universal corruption thereof Prrsoics af
flicted WITH THESE DISEASES WILL INVARIABLY REC-vvija
BY a thorough couese op this uEDiciNB. The same is
true In respect to rheumatism, gout, pains in the bones, piles,
fistula, sore eyes, ulcer sores, or any of the long-standing
m onic maladies.
