Methodist Church Bazaar
' and Dance.
This event was successfully inaug-.
urated on Wednesday afternoon at
3.30, when Mrs A. H. Evans, of I
Capelcarra, performed the opening j
ceremony. !
The stalls included Fancywork,
Produce, Lollies, and Soft Drinks
and Refreshments, a capable body
of workers faithfully discharging
their duties to promote ihe success
of the gathering.
The gross proceeds which
amounted to upwards of £2$ are for
the arrears of ministerial stipend and
other items of expenditure incurred
in the management of the Moora
circuit.
The stall holders were as appen
ded:—
Fancy—Mesdames McPherson and
Brown and Misses E. Brown and
H. McPberson,
Flowers'—Mrs G. Wilgoos, as
sisted by Mesdames Trevatt and
Helliwell and Master D. Hambly.
Produce—Mr G. Wilgoos. ,
Lollies, etc—Mesdames Smith and
Murdoch, assisted by Masters Gor
man and Saleeba.
Refreshments—Mesdames Ken
dall, Emery and Miss A Brown.
During the evening dancing was
indulged in by a good gathering of
young folk, and in the interval a
song was given by Mrs Allan and
an auction sale of articles left over
ably conducted by Mr I. Campbell.
Mr F. Brand acted as M.G. and
Mrs Sheridan and Miss - Tredrea"
provided the music. The thanks of
the officers are given to the friends
who sent gifts (too numerous to
thank individually) and many others
who assisted in no small degree to
make the gathering a success.
