from Knglaud to South Africa, where ho
met respondent. They became engaged,
and later Trenery came to Australia. ? He

persuade her to remain, but finally gave
way, in the hope that when she got to
Africa she would ''come to her senses.'
As she made no mention of coming back
after being there some time, petitioner
wrote asking her to return, but she re
plied, refusing to do so. Petitioner was
allowing her £25 a month at the time,
and this allowance had been continued.
