The Broken Hill Trouble.
BUILDING TRADE AFFECTED.
BROKEN HILL. — There is no change in
tbe industrial position. The A .MA. is dis
tributing relief at tbe rate of 540 persons
daily, the cost being approximately £2000
weekly. The Federated Engine Drivers' As
sociation and the Trades Laborers' Union
have also commenced distributions of re
lief.
There^have been rumors of a compulsory

A special meeting of the Trades and
Trades Laborers' Union decided that, as
far as the wages claimed by tbe union are
concerned, the union adheres to its claims
as previously set out. The union's log will
be ready for presentation to the mining
companies on Saturday morning.
