FISHING BOAT ARRIVES.
Some concern for the safety ol' the
motor fishing boat Bluenose, wliich
left Launceston for Hobart last wefek,
was manifest in the city on Monday^
but upon inquiries vesterdav it voJ
ascertained that the boat- had duly
linveu iu ils destination on Monday
afternoon. The Bluenose was built
to trio order of a southern owner by
Mr E. Jack, of Launceston, und.'the
builder, together with the- owner and
a party including Messrs. Manser
and Cartledge, set sail last week for
the Derwent. The boat, which is fit
ted with an auxiliary engine, went
south by easy stages, and -ran into
safe anchorage each night. The trip '
occupied six days, but as to some ex
tent it was a pleasure trip this was
not unduly lengthy, and upon arrival
at Hobart about 2 p.m. on Monda-
the party professed themselves as j
well pleased with the seagoing quali
ties of the boat, and stated that they
had experienced 'a most enjoyable
trip.
