INVERMAY METHODIST GUILD.
The weekly meeting of the Inver
may Methodist Young People's Guild
was held in the school room on Mon
day evening, -when there was a good
at tenflance. The president (Rev. L.
I. Perkins), occupied the chair. The
lecturer for the evening was the Rev.
J. W. Rowse, -whose subject -was 'An
evening with John Wesley.' Mr.
Rowse in a most interesting manner
gave an instructive description'of the
personality of John Wesley, and then
briefly touched upon his work. It
was an address that was greatly ap
preciated. Messrs. E. G. Hall and
G. Gislingham voiced the thanks of
the guild to the speaker for his visit
and enjoyable address. Tl^e. compe
tition between the guild teams closed
with last night's meeting and the le
mon team have won the competition,
and so the heliotrope team will now
provide the banquet. Next Monday

cert, a portion of the evening beinf
set aside to listening-in. Each mem
ber will pay sixpence which will bt
put to paving expenses involved dur
ing the session. The following Thurs
day the banquet will be held, and the
guild will close its session with a
guild service on the next Sunday.
September 2S. All the guild mem
bers will take their seats in the front
of the church at the evening service
on that Sunday, musical items will be
rendered by some members, and some
of the men of the guild will take pari
in the service.
