DR. MANNIX INTERVIEWED.
Oil being interviewed at Penzance,
Dr. Mannix said the destroyer intended,
to convey him to Fishguard, but a wire
less message en route altered the des
tination, as there was some objection
to Fishguard. He had no fault to find
with the manner in which the orders
were carried out. The commander of i
the destroyer Wyver showed him the
greatest courtesy, and did everything
to make his involuntary cruise com- j
fortable. Dr. Mannix added that he 1
had no mission to England. His land- j
ing in England was involuntary. He
bad no desire to see England, but
wanted to g'o to Ireland.
In reply to the question: ''What is
your object in visiting Ireland?' he re
plied: 'I am a native of Ireland. It
is my home. I have been absent fof
seven years, and it is time that 1 re
turned.'
