SOCIETIES.
RYRIE-STREET PRESBYTERIAN
GIRLS' GUILD.
■ Mrs. Arthur Davidson presided over a
very large attendance of members at the
fortnightly meeting of the ltyrie-street
Girls' Guild, hold on Monday. One
nomination was received, and one new
member cordially welcomed. The sylla
bus item was "Magazine," and many ex
cellently written articles were submit-'
ted by tho members. The papers were
read by Miss Hobbs, and Mrs. Davidson
briefly criticised each. A most instruc
tive evening was brought to a closo by
•the singing of tho doxology.
