BOWLING- NOTES.

The handicap singles" were con
tinued this week, with the follow
ing results;— Lessels (3) beat
Isbister (2)—21-16; Mackay (scr.)
beat .Lessels—22-17 ; G. E. Inkpen
(scr.) lost to Storey (4)—16-21;
Mackay (scr.) beat Millen (3)—
21-8; Evans (6) lost to McDon
ald (2)— McDonald (2) beat
Storey (4)—21-13. Yesterday
afternoon Mackay and McDonald
met in the final, the former winn
ing by 21 to 14. The winner
showed excellent form, and some
of the heads were decidedly credit
able.
A number of bowlers represent
ing Fremantle will visit York on
Monday next, and will meet the
local players on the rinks during
the afternoon. The visiting team
has been organised by Mr Geo.
Cross, an enthusiastic Port bowler.
