Y.M.C.A. GRAND WORLD'S FAIR.
A FINAL meeting of the general committee of
the above was held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms
yesterday afternoon. There were a number
of ladies present. The general secretary, Mr.
H. Tolley, said that the meeting had been
called to present to the ladies who had so
kindly and zealously helped at the late fair,
a financial statement, which he then read as
follows:--January 19th, 1891.--Cr: Punch
and Judy, £3 15s; Belgium, £32 Os 5½d;
Transvaal, £29 So 10)d; Erin, £55
10s 3d; China, gross, £15 19" 3d;
Scotland, £115 2s 29d; Englane, £71 3a

donations, £4 16s; timber cold, £1 5s; Aus

admission at doors, £2483 10s 4td; flower
stall, £36 19as.6d; badges, lie 6d; Gypsi, a,

1891.-Dr.: By general expenres, fittings
and band, £185 8s Sd; goods purchased (or
sale, United States, t33 13s 10d; refresh
ment room, £22 Se 6d; tea, £7 11 ld ; total,
£248 19s Id., Bly credit balanco, £731 ]8S
7d. It was, reported that there were yvet
several amounts to come m'in, but the balance
is not liklely to be increased by moro thlan
£10. This statement was considered highly
satisfactory, and the ..ladies even hope to
augment it by a sale of works at Easter, inm
view of the imnmediate conimoncoment of
building ioporations.' TIh ladies are very
pleased that their efforts have boon such a
success,
