Hamilton.
PRESBvYTEIRIAN CHUROH.
The annual meeting of the congregation of
the above church was held on Wednesday
evening in the building. The attendance
was large, and the proceedings were of a
very satisfactory character. An encouraging
report of the year's work in the chburch was
submitted, and, together with the report of
the Sabbath.school, was unanimously adopted
on the motion of Mr. O. G. Melville,
seconded by Mr. J. Hughee. The report re
ferred with regret to the death of the late
pastor (Rov. A. Wilson), and expressed
pleasure that the members have been once
moro settledby the induction of the er.
Richard Jennings. The services of Mr. G.
W. Donald, as choirmaster, were recognised
by the report, and the committee recommond, d
that gentleman for the best thaneks of the
congregation. The meetings and services in
connection with the church were well at
tended, and the labours in the Sabbath
school were untiring, and btheiresult gratify
ing. The receipts for the building fund up
to 1890 amounted to £121 2s, while the ex
penditure amounted to £70 8s, leaving a
balance of £47 14s. The finance report for
the Satbatheschool showed a credit balance
of £4 13s 5d. A balance-sheeoot for the tea
and publio meeting at the induction sorvioe
was also submitted. Tho income was £31 (s
5d, and the expendituro £10 4s 8d. The
treasurer's account for. the year gave an in
crease of £287 28' ld, the expenditure being
£252 lels Sd. The finlncial statements were
approved by the meeting. On the
recommendation of the committee of.
management, it was resolved to reeaout and
re-arrange tile internal fittings of the build
ing; and the work will be carried out without
delay. The following committee was then

Finlayson, and Mr. D. Murray, jun. Mr. A.
Gardiner, the chuirlc secrotary and superin
tendent of the SabbatL-school, is worthy of
much praise for the deep interest he has
taken in his dual ofice during the year, as
are also the organist, Miss Jessio Smith, and
the committee generally.
