£25 10s; active harness horses, £11 to £17;
good style of buggy horse, £16; 'bus horses,
£9 to £14; unbroken light colts and fillies,
£7 to £14; saddle horses, from £5 to £10.
At the bazaar, the demand for vehicles has
been brisk. Single-seated buggy sold at
£14; village cart, horse, and harness, £25

buyers; lucerne hay, £3 to £4 Sa.
Messrs. Creer and Berkeley report that
during the week sales of general merchandise
have not been so well attended as the pre
vious week's sales. The fact of the first day of
the week being a public holiday, no doubt,
brought about the effect. Land and house
properties still remain in a very quiet state,
very few inquiries being made, except for
some special site. We have made the follow
ing sales:-Allotment leasehold land at
Stockton for £20, R. Breekenridge, pur
chaser; four allotments land at Mayfield for
£315, Robert Bond, purchaser. Shares.
The market this week has nearly beeoon a dead
letter. Castlemaine Brewery and Wood
Brothers are in demand at 21s 3d, with few
sellers. Bon Accoid gold are also in demand
on account of the good reports that are being
received from the mine. Coal stocks are
dull.
